Product Review: The Ordinary Vitamin C didn’t work for us

Since its inception in 2013, the parent company of The Ordinary, DECIEM has made strategic efforts to develop the brand’s retail footprint across geographies, to ensure demand can be met, and to continue the company’s vision for honestly priced formulations accessible to all. The Ordinary has gained immense popularity across the globe for its highly targeted and effective formulations and serums. A hero product by the brand, the Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Serum, is purchased once every 2 seconds across the globe and The Ordinary has retailed almost 300 million units to date.

We tried The Ordinary’s most popular product, Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%, for a thorough review, and here’s what we thought:

  • Price: Rs 700/-
  • Skin type: All skin types

Review: The benefit of using The Ordinary Vitamin C is that it helps reduce visible signs of aging, brightens skin tone, and provides antioxidant support.

The Ordinary’s Vitamin C didn’t work for us because of its grainy texture, which made it difficult to apply evenly to the face.

But what we like best about this product is that it is fragrance-free, like the rest of the brand’s products, and that it is moist and easily absorbs into the skin.
